As a fourth-year graduate student in the Computer Human Interaction Laboratory at Rice University, my current research focus is the assessment of voting system usability. I am particularly interested in potential effects on usability arising from implementing different navigational models, and in the effects of providing various forms of state information to users. Prior research interests include visual and tactile attention, specifically, visual extinction and neglect.
