The 213 room (the Analysis Lab) contains for machines in it. These machines are there to support research work, though they may be used for other things if they are not in use for research. Research use always has priority over other uses of these machines, including coursework and personal use.
All of these machines require login. If you want to use a machine and someone else is logged in but not sitting there, log them out unless there is a note that the machine is actually in use for some extended purpose (compressing video, running a simulation, etc.). If you are asked to save any changes during logout, please do do. In order for you to not lose any of your own work, please remember to log out of the machines when you're done.
This is the iMac. The priority activities for this machine are testing experiment code and scehduling subjects.
This is the G4 in the corner by the fridge with the 20" LCD. The first priority for this machine is NASA simulation work.
This is the G4 with the two monitors that is hooked up to all the video equipment. Top priority for this machine is video work (capture, compression, editing) and CD duplication (this machine has a relatively fast FireWire CD burner attached).
This is the G4 at the long table with the 22" CRT. No special priorities apply to this machine.
