I was a graduate student in the Computer-Human Interaction Laboratory at Rice University. I am now Chief Scientist at a cognitive engineering startup, Cogscent, LLC. My three main areas of research have been error in routine interactive tasks, the adoption of efficient work strategies for use with computer software, and human performance in a simple visual search task.
